YAN Lianke

Né en 1958 dans une famille de paysans illettrés du Henan, Yan Lianke a d’abord été écrivain officiel de l’armée, avant de composer des œuvres puissantes et empreintes de liberté, souvent mises à l’index par la censure. « Je ne veux me rendre ni au pouvoir politique ni au marché. Je préfère garder ma dignité, même si cela signifie mourir de faim. J’ai cette conviction dans le sang. » Yan Lianke a reçu en 2014 le prix Franz Kafka pour l’ensemble de son œuvre.

Yan Lianke est d’abord  traduit et publié en français avant d’être traduit dans plus de vingt langues.
